Project Name Understanding Empowerment Through Required Information Scope of the Project Lunkaransar, District-Bikaner Financial Assistance Global Giving January 2019Project Introduction: The name of the project, Enlighten to Empower, means to increase the understanding of empowerment of something by giving the required information. In this project, through organizing a 2-month non-residential camp for school dropout girls, girls are being educated about digital technology. Along with getting the teaching work done, emphasis will be given to skill development posts.The camp under the project is being conducted from 18 February 2019 to 12 April 2019 at Village: Rajasar Bhatia. After this, these girls will be linked with the distance education programme. Teaching work will be done through digital technology. All these girls have been connected to tablets and the internet. A total of 23 girls are involved in this camp. These girls are divided into 3 groups. Whose details are as follows: The first group is up to classes 6-8. There is a total of 8 girls in this group. The second group is up to classes 4-5, a total of 9 girls are involved in this group. The third group is up to classes 1-2, in which a total of 6 girls are involved.The teaching work of this camp continues till 10-1 am. There is a lunch break from 1-2 pm. After this again the teaching work goes on till 2-4 pm. 3 teachers work in this camp.English and Hindi languages are taught in the morning session. The language is taught through Hindi language stories and videos along with the teaching of English vocabulary which is useful in everyday life. For example Gali-Gali, Sim-Sim etc.Mathematics is taught through small group interactions and games in the English language. Weekly evaluation of the taught works is taken, and on the basis of evaluation, planning is made to get the teaching work done for improvement by identifying the weaknesses.All the girls have been taught how to use tablets, and download and upload videos. Girls do teaching work through worksheets and then upload them. Along with the teaching work, the camp carried out various activities such as life skills, nutrition, the main causes of anaemia in women, self-defence skills, etc. Along with giving information and experience sharing to the girls about mountain climbers and Panchayati raj. Went.Meanwhile, a woman sarpanch gave information about how a woman can become a sarpanch or public representative and the challenges that come with this, and how to face those challenges? How to use their rights and play their role in the development of the village and community, how women representatives can reduce the atrocities on girls and women, and how to benefit all sections of the people, especially the very poor While giving information regarding this to the families, the process of Panchayati Raj was told.
